The importance of the youth in
the development of our country Nigeria and the world can neither be undermined nor
over emphasised; but this burden to develop the youth is not one that falls solely
on the government as so many of my young
counterparts have convinced themselves but also on each and every one of us.
“Your fate lies within your palm”
is a cliché, yet not all who so courageously wield the English language comprehend.
So on this day set aside to commemorate all that has vigour, spirit, strength whom
shoulder the future of our nation and
the world at large; my advice to all is that as we go celebrating youthfulness let
us all make out time to consciously think constructively;
The future we all yearn for is
within you.
Time waits for no one and can’t
be purchased with any wealth, don’t put off what you can do today till
tomorrow, ‘the heights great men reached and kept …’ ‘sitting still and waiting …’ you wouldn’t stay
a youth forever, you might not have the strength you have today tomorrow. Don’t
just make a difference; Make a difference TODAY.
